The quantity of rice should also be decreased.

Health Benefits Of PETAI

Health Benefits Of PETAI
Parkia speciosa
Fabaceae
Common names:Bitter bean, twiated cluster bean,Stink bean.It bears long edible beans with bright green seeds with a peculiar smell similar to natural gas.Petai contains three natural sugars, sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one BEAN(POD) with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
#1. Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

#2. PMS(premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

#3. Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

#4. Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical bean is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

#5. Brain Power :
Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making students more alert and boost memory.

#6. Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

#7. Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

#8. Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

#9. Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness in women.

#10. Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

#11. Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

#12. Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

#13. Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in chronic cases. It also neutralizes acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

#14. Temperature control :
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" bean that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In holland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

#15. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because the seeds contain tryptophan, the natural mood enhancer.

#16. Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

#17. Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

#18. Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, " eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

#19. Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A Petai a day keeps the doctor away".

St Petersburg Day Spa offers Vitamin C Facials an Anti Wrinkle Facial for Anti-Aging, Sun Damage Prevention, Wrinkle and Fine Line Reversal

As summer comes to an end, we have a lot of clients booking anti-aging facials and advanced skin care services that combat the effects of long beach days, sun burns and inadequate SPF coverage.  Living in Florida, sun damage is almost inevitable and it's very important that we take good care of our skin.

I'd like to share with you one of my favorite facials on our Spa Menu: the uber Anti-Aging Vitamin C Facial.

What is a Vitamin C Facial?

Our Vitamin C Facial is designed for tired skin showing signs of atrophy and loss of elasticity, this intensive Vitamin C treatment stimulates vital functions and repairs cell damage. Skin shows immediate improvement in tone and firmness. Excellent for sun damage and premature signs of aging.

What are the benefits of a Vitamin C facial?

  • Reduces skin pigmentation
  • Restores elasticity and firmness
  • Prevents skin damage caused by exposure to sun, smog, pollution and stress
  • Helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Helps repair damaged cells and prevent future skin damage
Using Vitamin C topically, it is proven to be an extremely effective guard against wrinkles.  Exposing vitamin C to the skin dramatically increases the synthesis of collagen, an important structural protein in the skin. This property, as well as the effects of vitamin C on external damage, maintain healthier and more elastic skin with improved skin texture.

Antioxidant vitamin C is the most effective way to repair and prevent aging as well as free radical damage resulting from environmental exposure.  Vitamin C restores skin texture, elasticity, and firmness while fading pigmentation problems and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.

Anti Aging Effects of Vitamin C Facials

The purest form of Vitamin C, ascorbic acid, is biologically tested to be beneficial for human skin.  High concentration of vitamin C is actually derived from plants that help in the human skin's aging process. The potential benefits of Vitamin C on face are diminishing effects of age spots, radiant facial complexion, smoother skin, restoration of lost collagen and reduction in wrinkles. Vitamin C is vital for overall skin health and optimal scar healing. Vitamin C plays a vital role in diminishing the effects ultra violet light damage.

Unfortunately, the body does not produce vitamin C on its own. The only way to ensure our skin gets enough vitamin C is to make sure we include enough in our diet and by using skin care products that contain vitamin C in a stable form.
Studies have found that Vitamin C can increase collagen production, protect against damage from UVA and UVB rays, correct pigmentation problems, and reverse inflammatory skin conditions and early skin cancers.

At Healthy Being Wellness Center- we offer several different Vitamin C Facials.  We offer a Vitamin C Facial, a Vitamin C Peel and a Vitamin C Laser Facial.

Please check out our website for more great anti-aging services.

Cialis Effectively Treats ED

Cialis Effectively Treats ED

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common complaint in men, particularly as they age. Millions of men of all ages suffer from the condition on a regular basis. Specific medical conditions and stress can cause ED. Fortunately, there are treatments that help men confidently engage in sexual activity again. One of the most effective is Cialis. There are specific steps you can take to improve the drug's usefulness.

Seek Professional Help

It is a good idea to get a doctor to review your medical record before deciding to take any ED drug. Men who have heart problems or take nitrates are typically warned to avoid this medication. Consult your doctor as soon as you begin experiencing ED symptoms. The sooner you can begin treating ED, the better chance you have of fully recovering from the condition.

Other ED Medications

You may have also considered taking Levitra or Viagra. These are the other two leading drugs marketed for ED treatment. Generally speaking, all ED drugs work the same way. They allow blood flow to enter the penis so that men can achieve and maintain an erection after being sexually stimulated. A hard erection is the only way to obtain successful sexual intercourse.

Why Cialis is More Effective

This particular ED treatment stands out because it has a 36-hour effective period. For this reason, you do not need to take the medication daily. And you can still achieve satisfying erections during that time period. Because of its extended use period, men can be more spontaneous rather than having to plan their intimate encounters.

ED Treatment and Prevention

If you experience ED symptoms, it is important that you learn what is causing your ED. Your doctor can help identify medical problems like high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, or diabetes. But your lifestyle may also be contributing to your ED. Consuming too much alcohol or using illicit drugs can lead to your impotence. So can stress and depression. While ED drugs can help on a short-term basis, you really need to figure out what is causing your condition and address those issues as well.
Cialis can help with your ED while you work to regain a healthy lifestyle. Watch your weight, eat right, and exercise regularly to reduce stress and improve your overall health. Taking these steps will improve the effectiveness of Cialis to treat erectile dysfunction so you can have satisfying sexual encounters.
